Simon Sadler (British, b. 1968) is Professor of Architectural and Urban History, University of California, Davis. His research concentrates on architecture, urbanism, and modernity since 1945. His publications include three books, The Situationist City (MIT Press, 1998), Archigram: Architecture without Architecture (MIT Press, 2005), and Non-Plan: Essays on Freedom, Participation and Change in Modern Architecture and Urbanism (edited with Jonathan Hughes; Architectural Press, 2000). He is currently researching architecture, environmentalism and the American counterculture and is a Humanities Fellow at UC Davis for 2006-7.



The ISA Dinner Guest Lecture Series is a unique event that brings together important speakers, members of the local cultural and intellectual community and students from the ISA for an intimate lecture, conversation and four course dinner prepared by our student body. Past guests have included astrobiologist Kevin Hand, author Beth Lisick and experimental archivists Rick and Megan Prelinger.



PLACE: 1911 Pine St. (Ocatavia) San Francisco (a Victorian mansion in Pacific Heights no less) parking lot can be accessed through driveway just to the left of the building!
